Different question
An Instagram comment bot is not a comment-to-DM
A comment bot writes comments on other people’s posts. HitDM never does that. When someone comments a keyword on your Reel, HitDM sends one private DM with your link.
What an Instagram comment bot does
An Instagram comment bot posts comments for you. The usual pitch is growth: it comments on strangers’ Reels so they notice you. You did not ask them anything. The bot spoke first, in public, on their post.
HitDM does the opposite. Someone comments a word on your post. You send one private DM. The comment is theirs. The DM is yours. We do not type comments, likes, or follows.
That difference is why this is not the auto-reply page and not the keyword menu. Those pages assume the person already commented. This page is for the search “instagram comment bot”, which is the outbound tool. US searches for that phrase are a different question from “auto reply dm instagram”.
Why we will not build that bot
Comment bots, like bots, and follower bots sit outside the official messaging API. They pretend to be you. Meta’s Instagram Private Replies are the other direction: one private reply to a comment that already exists on your media. HitDM connects a Professional account and uses that path.
A labeled example, not a client result: a bot that comments “Nice post! Check my bio” under 200 Reels is a comment bot. A Reel that says “comment MENU and I will DM the list” is a keyword. Only the second one is HitDM.
What to set up instead
- See who is typing. If the tool types a comment under someone else’s post, it is a comment bot. Stop there.
- See who opted in. If a person comments a word you asked for on your Reel, they opted in. A private DM can answer that comment.
- Send one DM, not a comment. Put the link in the DM. Leave the public reply as a short “Sent. Check your DMs.”
Words you can copy are on the comment keyword menu. The one DM after that word is the Instagram auto reply DM. Setup steps are the comment to DM guide.
FAQ
Will HitDM comment on other accounts for me?
No. HitDM never posts a comment. It only sends a private DM after someone comments on your own post or Reel.
Is a comment bot allowed?
Bots that post comments, likes, or follows outside the official API are the ones that put accounts at risk. Official apps ask you to connect a Professional account. They do not type comments for you.
What should I use if I want the link in the inbox?
A comment keyword on your caption. The person comments that word. HitDM sends one DM with your link. That is comment-to-DM, not a comment bot.
Keep the comment human
You write the caption. They write the comment. The only automated text is the private DM.
